'Gabrielle Chanel: Fashion Manifesto’ at V&A'
For this landmark exhibition, The Bon Ton were invited to create the exhibition identity to represent the fashion icon that is Gabrielle Chanel. From the outset, the ambition was to emulate her minimal elegance throughout the exhibition design referencing the monochrome palette and immaculate typography. We developed powder coated metal panels for texts and stretched fabric for the feature timeline at the entrance of the exhibition. Captions were made from ivory and ebony card to the proportion of the iconic ‘No.5’ perfume bottle label.
