Book Design
This is the first biography of the renowned dancing company, reflecting 20 years of work. We divided the book into two parts: first, black and white rehearsal pictures revealing the choreographic process, followed by full-bleed, colour images to showcase the performances. The bespoke typeface reflects a body in movement with the letterforms appearing to dance on the page. We chose an open spine to reveal the yellow thread binding the book together and reflecting Akram Khan's raw aesthetic.
